MEOW is hosting a hospitality suite with food and drinks, so stay tuned for more info on this after hours fun part of seminar.
The Red Lion Hotel will provide us with a conference area that is handicap accessible, very little walking, secure storage of sewing machines and supplies, vendor tables in our business room, internet access, a gym, and lots of amenities so we can all be in one area. I have 4 classrooms downstairs and 3 classrooms one floor up. The pool will be open during our conference. Help with unloading of sewing machines will be available also.
There is an onsite restaurant in the hotel. All attendees will be responsible for their own meals. The hospitality suite will host a continental breakfast for Friday & Saturday. I am considering a brunch for Sunday or a catered dinner on Saturday nite. More info will follow as details get firmed up. Included in your registration packet will be a list and map of over 50 places to eat within 10 minutes of the hotel, and of course.... sewing and quilting shops with the same radius.
The hotel food is really good and reasonably priced with a great view of the lower Puget sound. if you like to bring your lunch, there is seating by the pool, or several picnic tables available outside with an awesome view of the sound and city of Olympia. water and ice tea service is provided in each classroom along with a daily snack in the afternoon.
PLEASE consider getting a room mate and staying at least 1 or 2 days. The more rooms rented, the more benefits the hotel gives us to save $$$ on the seminar.
Registration will begin at 1 pm on Thursday May 28, 2009 and will continue until 6 pm. Hospitality suite will be available Thursday nite.
Vendors and Retail Market - Retail market will be open all 4 days during the seminar. Vendor tables will be right next to the 4 classrooms and the business meeting area. It is secure afterhours and will be in the central meeting area.
Vendors can set up tables from 10 am- 8 pm on Thursday. PLEASE contact Jyll @ stitchnstuff@comcast.net or 360 561 5698 (leave a message) to get your contract for a vendor space and let her know when you might be setting up your vendor table, just so i have hotel staff available. The area to bring in merchandise is flat and easily accessible. Vendor tables will be available for $35 each 8 foot table, or 2 tables for $60 (this includes power). Each vendor is responsible for manning their table. No extra charges if you have other means of displaying merchandise, but each vendor must pay at least $35 for a space. Contact me and lets chat. All MEOW vendors are welcome. MEOW vendor table charges are the same as above. More info will be coming soon.
Alice Morris will be teaching a basics class again, so please look for that in your seminar brochure.
